Clifford William Sandry, 74, of 512 Third Ave. S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday (29 Jan. 1979) in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a sudden illness.

Clifford was born September 16, 1904 at Lansing. He was married to Vivien D. Sargent on May 21, 1948, at Mitchell, South Dakota. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 15 years at Iowa Manufacturing.

Mr. Sandry was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the American Legion Hanford Post No. 5, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War ll.

Surviving are his wife and five brothers, Frank of Waukon, Leonard and Dewey of Lansing, Ernest of Reno, Nevada and Virgil of Cedar Rapids.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. B. Gordon Packard of the St. James United Methodist Church officiated at the services. Burial was in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Veteran’s services were conducted by the American Legion Hanford.
