Stephen F. Vichlach, 56, of Waukon, died Tuesday March 25 at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse.

He was the son of Stephen and Marie Brennen Vichlach and was born April 20, 1923 in New Albin. He was a graduate of the New Albin high school, was a farmer, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was married to Lorna Weymiller June 30, 1948 in La Crosse, WI.

She survives as do two sons, Terry of Davenport and Tom of Waukon, a daughter LaVonne of Cedar Falls, and a brother Victor of Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by a brother John.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 27 at Rossville Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert Lueck officiated, with burial in Oakland cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed White, Elmer Rush, Harlan Yohe, Neil Leas, Carlton Larsen, and Doug Kubitz.

Martin funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
