Emma Hefty, longtime Lansing resident, died on Sunday, April 6, 1980 at her home.

She was born on February 7, 1896 at Lansing the daughter of Henry and Bendena Wiemerslage Hefty.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by a brother, Albert, of Lansing, and two sisters, Clara, of Lansing, and Mrs. Adalia MacLachlan, of La Crosse, Wis.

Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Teff, Robert Sandry, Clem Riek, Robert Leppert, John Scholtes and Bob Maust.

The Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
