Daniel Grady, age 62, of Waukon, Iowa died Wednesday, December 17, 1986 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Services were held Saturday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were John Hammell, Cletus Rooney, Vince Mullarkey, Ralph Welch, Bill Mathis and Richard Meyer. Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Zeimet, Kenny O'Hara, Ricky Shelton, and Tony Link.

Daniel was born December 13, 1924 to John and Susan (O'Hara) Grady. He attended local schools and lived in Allamakee County most of his life except for the three years he served in the Army during World War II. He married Beverly Steiber on June 29, 1948 in Wexford, Allamakee County, Iowa. He had been a truck driver for Empire Gas and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Catholic Order of Foresters.

He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret and three brothers, Leo Grady, Cyril Grady, and Sylvester Grady.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; 3 daughters, Mrs. LaVonne (Patricia) Peterson and Peggy Grady, both of Waukon, Iowa and Mrs. Milt (Jeannette) Kirkestue of Postville, Iowa; a son Keith Grady of Waukon, Iowa and 7 grandchildren; a brother James Grady of Riverside, California, and a sister, Mary Cota of Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
