Joseph M. Regan, age 65, died Tuesday, March 17, 1987 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held Friday, March 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military services. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Dave Mueller,
Marcus Smith, Dick Elliott, Ben Quillin, Norbert Duffy, and William Campbell.

Joseph was born December 27, 1921 in Waukon, Iowa to Jerry and Katherine (Coyle) Regan. He attended Waukon High School and Waukon Junior college. He served in the Air Force during WWII. On October 21, 1948 he married Alice Hansmeier in Decorah, Iowa. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon Toastmasters and a life member of the American Legion. He had been a farmer and a Farm Bureau insurance agent for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by a brother John Regan and a sister, Violetta.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, a son Tom Regan of Waukon, Iowa; 2 daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Ann) Quillin of Waukon, Iowa and Mary Regan of Redondo Beach, California; eight grandchildren and a sister Beatrice of Waukon, Iowa.
