Gerald L. Burke, age 60, of Waukon, Iowa died Friday, February 13, 1987. Funeral services were held Monday February 16 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Hanover, Allamakee County, Iowa with burial in the Hanover Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Randy Burke, Charles Hall, Tom G. Burke, Jerry Burke, Rick Burke, and Mike Burke.

Gerald was born November 20, 1926 to Thomas and Lucille (Kingsley) Burke. He attended St. Patrick's High School and Waukon Junior College. He lived all his life on the home farm. He served in the US Army from 1950-1952 and was a member of St. Mary's Church, Hanover, Knights of Columbus and American Legion.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Hall of Waukon, Iowa and Ramona Wardlow of Waterloo, Iowa, and three brothers, Bill Burke of Madison, Wisconsin, Tom Burke of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and Ray Burke of Waukon, Iowa.
