“Resident of Van Tassell Passes Away Thursday”
Mrs. Margaret Hulse Succumbs to Illness of Many Months
Funeral Services Held Sunday and Remains Laid to Rest in Van Tassell Cemetery
Mrs. Margaret Hulse of Van Tassell passed away at her home there last Thursday, October 22, 1925, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held at Van Tassell on Sunday by Rev. J. H. Clark, pastor of the Baptist church of Lusk and the remains were laid to rest in the Van Tassell cemetery. The hearse from the Austin, Elquest, Slack Company undertaking parlors of Lusk was used. Margaret Hulse was born in Ireland, June 15, 1850, being at the time of her death 75 years, 4 months and 7 days. She came to America at the age of three years, coming to Wyoming from Iowa in 1912. The deceased was married to Squire Hulse on June 30, 1872 at Parish Rock, Iowa. Seven children were born to them, one dying in infancy and a son, Clarence dying at the age of 7 years.
Those surviving her are an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ray Lease of Waterville, Ia; two daughers, Mrs. R. E. Blackwell of Harpers Ferry, Ia: Mrs. F.M. Hamarstron, of Kansas City, Mo.; and three sons, David, George, and Earl, all of Van Tassell; twenty grandchildren and four great grand-children.
