MRS. CLARA ELDRIDGE.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara O. Eldridge, 70, of 849 W. 4th St., who died Sunday at 4:30 a.m. of a heart condition at the Barton nursing home, where she had been a patient for six days, will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Kearns-Dykeman funeral home.
The Rev. H. E. Dierenfield, pastor of First Presbyterian church here, will officiate. The body will then be taken to Waukon, Ia, where graveside services will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. R. W. Eaton in charge.
Mrs. Eldridge was born Clara Johnson Jan. 17, 1890 at Eldon, IA., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Johnson. She was educated at Waukon and was married there in 1907 to Fred G. Eldridge. He died in 1939.
She was a resident of Waterloo for 53 years with the exceptio of three years at Ann Arbor, Mich. Surviving are two sons, Howard of 326 Vine, and Gerwood of 200 Rainbow Dr.; and a daughter Mrs. Maxine Bartlett, Oakland, Calif.
Also surviving are a brother, Bernard, San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Dwyer, 851 W. 4th St., 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Lester, who died last week, oe brother and one sister.
