Rites Held For Former Resident

Mrs. Amelia Mead passed away at her home in San Diego, California on April 19, 1967. She was the daughter of Charles and Caroline Hein, born October 15, 1879.

She was married to Guy Mead, October, 1899. They were the parents of five children, two of whom survive.

Preceding her in death were her husband who died in February, 1946; three sons, Lyle, Fred and Francis; parents; five brothers, Charles, William, August, George and Rudolph; one sister, Bertha (Mrs. F. D. Rounds).

Surviving are one son, Clinton, of San Diego; one daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Ed Hill) of San Diego; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Edna (Mrs. B. J. Waters) of Postville; nieces and nephews.

Burial services were conducted by the Rev. Lenwood L. Monte at the Postville cemetery on May 1.
