DEATH - Frederick Wagner, one of the early settlers of this vicinity, and a resident of Lafayette Tp. died yesterday afternoon, of Consumption, at the advanced age of 73 years.

The funeral will take place tomorrow, at 10 a.m., from the late residence of the deceased.

Notes:
-Burial is in the Village Creek cemetery, where his gravestone names him as Frederick Wagner
-The 'North Iowa Journal', 1/23/1878 names him differently, as Jacob Wagner: "Jacob Wagner, whose illness we announced last week, died on Thursday last."
