"SERVICES AT BUFFALO GROVE CHURCH FOR LATE WILLIAM STOCK"
Memorial services for William Stock, 81, who died Friday, September 10, at the Lexington Community Hospital after a brief illness, were held Monday at the Buffalo (Grove) Church where he had been a faithful member for a long time. The Rev. David Tudor, pastor of the church, officiated. Darrel Peters sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. Ben Menke presiding at the organ.

Mr. Stock was born on a farm near Waukon, Iowa. He became a member of the Zalmonia Presbyterian Church of Waukon when he was a young man.

He was married to Miss Matilda Menke of Lexington, on November 23, 1899. They settled on a farm near Waukon where they lived for three years, coming with the family in 1903 to Nebraska where he engaged in farming. He united with the Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church shortly after arriving in this vicinity, and was an active member until his death.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Edwin, Walter, and Willis, and one daughter, Doris, now Mrs. Lloyd Zauha, all of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, all of Waukon, Iowa. One brother, Edward, was present for the services.

A son, Alfred, a brother and seven sisters preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were William Biehl, Con Delap, Herman Meyer, Emmett Oldfather, Ben Velte, and Vernon Wells. Interment was at the Buffalo Grove Church Cemetery.
