News came Sunday to H. A. Engen of the death of his mother at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Gilbertson of Paint Creek, Allamakee county.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Caren. She was born Mar. 17, 1822 and died July 8, 1912. She is buried in the Old West Paint Creek Cemetery.
