Death has again entered, for the second time this year, the household of C. Amann, and the tenderest bud therein, Carolina Elizabeth, has been transplanted to bloom in paradise.

On Sunday last, at 6 p.m., her tired spirit winged its flight to Him who gave it, at the age of sixteen months and two days.

The little thing has been a sufferer since its birth, owing to some misplacement or irregularity in the working of the heart.

The funeral took place yesterday morning at 9 o'clock from the Catholic church. Mr. and Mrs. Amann's sore bereavement will touch a sympathetic chord in the breasts of all parents.

Note: The remains of little Carolina were disinterred from the abandoned Catholic cemetery near Lansing in 1901 by her mother, and reburied in Saint Gabriel's Catholic cemetery, Prairie du Chien, WI. Her older brother had also died in 1883. His remains too, were removed to Saint Gabriel's, and laid beside their father Charles who had died in 1900. Carolina was d/o Charles & Caroline (Christ) Amann.
