Thomas A. Gronna, one of the enterprising young farmers of Paint Creek township, was brought to the local hospital Sunday forenoon, accompanied by his physician, Dr. Dillon, of Waterville, suffering with an intestinal obstruction of three days standing. His condition was extremely critical and he was operated at one, although the physicians had then but little hope for him. He failed steadily after the operation and death came to his relief at 11 o'clock Monday evening. - Waukon Journal
