Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for James Gabrielson, 18, who was killed Wednesday night in an auto accident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Old East Paint Creek Church about 15 miles east of Waukon. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Bakke-Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon.

-The Dubuque Telegraph-Herald, November 13, 1964; pg 28 included a detailed accounting of the accident, giving the following additional details about James:
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Gearhart Gabrielson and brother of Dale Gabrielson, all of Waukon. Dale, aged 21, was the driver of the car. James' residence was given as Waterville.
-Although this death notice gives burial in Old East Paint Creek cemetery, James Douglas Gabrielson has a gravestone in the Belmond Cemetery, Belmond, Wright co. IA. Unknown is if he was initially buried in OEPC and reinterred at a later date in Belmond (where his parents are buried); or if the death notice was incorrect to burial place.
