ELSEY, POOLER, MINNICK

Isaac T. Elsey, formerly of this city, died very suddenly at his home in Iowa Falls, on Wednesday, October 31, 1923.

He went to work as usual Wednesday morning and on returning home at the noon hour, was stricken when only a short distance from his own door.

Mr. Elsey was born February 2, 1857, at Postville, Iowa. On March 2, 1881 he was united in marriage with Phebe Pooler, who with their only daughter, survives him. He also leaves one brother, Thomas Elsey of Fort Dodge, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Minnick, of David City, Nebraska.

Deceased was a member of Lake City Lodge No. 330, I.O.O.F. Funeral services were conducted from the home Friday morning by Rev. Simmons, of the Baptist church, after which a delegation from the I.O.O.F. of Iowa Falls accompanied the body to the train, one member going to Rockwell City.

The pall bearers were members of the Lake City lodge and met the train at Rockwell City when the body of their brother was tenderly borne to Rose Hill cemetery and laid to rest.
