Died, Tuesday, March 9th, at his home on the central road in Ludlow, August Simmons, one of the earliest settlers of the twp., having been here about 37 years, and the funeral took place Friday morning.

Two sons and a daughter from Nebraska were present at the funeral. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six children.
