Wilhelmina Krampe
17 June 1842 - 3 May 1900
Parent's Heinrich and Frederike (Depping) Krampe

Waukon Democrat (Iowa) 9 May 1900

Ludlow. Mrs. Simon Hager died Thursday, May 3d and was buried on Sunday. It is said the funeral was the largest ever held in Ludlow.

She was the first person ever buried from that farm which has been occupied for over forty years, the Hager family having lived there over thirty years. We do not know of another residence in Ludlow without having had a funeral in over forty years.

She was an excellent Christian woman, a loving wife and mother, a member of the German Presbyterian church, where the funeral services were held conducted by Rev. Renttell.

On Friday last occurred the death of Mrs. Simon Hager at her home in Ludlow township at the age of 57 years. The cause of her death was cancer of stomach and bowels, complicated with dropsy. She had been a severe sufferer for the past two years.

The funeral services were held on Sunday at the Ludlow German church, Rev. Ruettel officiating. The large number of friends that accompanied the remains to their last resting place testified to the high esteem in which she was held by the many friends and acquaintances. The funeral procession was over one mile in length.

She leaves to mourn her death husband, eight daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Ida Helming and Mrs. Mary Kanbe of Jasper county; Mrs. Sophia Flage, Mrs. Sarah Bauercamper, Minnie, Ella and Lizzie, all of Ludlow; and Mrs. Mattie Krieger of Waukon. The sons are Will F. and Albert, both of Ludlow.
