Funeral Rites for Rose Miles

Funeral services for Mrs. John (Rose) Miles, 88, Waukon, were held Tuesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. in st. Patrick's Catholic church in Waukon with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frederic Heles officiating. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery, Dorchester.

She died Saturday, June 12 at the Good Samaritan center in Waukon.

She was born April 29, 1888 in Union City township, Allamakee county, to Mr. and Mrs. George Waters Sr. She married John Miles in June 1916. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mayme Fink and Mrs. Lillian Henry of Waukon, Mrs. Lucy Schulte of Harpers Ferry and Mrs. Myrtle Evenmoe of Spring Grove, Mn, and a brother Leo Waters of Spring Grove.

Two brothers, Edward and George, and a sister, Mrs. Milton Henry, also preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church in Waukon.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Henry, Floyd Waters, Earl Waters, Dick Russell, John A. Schulte and Dennis Schulte.

Bakke-Hanson funeral home was in charge of arrangements
