The death of Mrs. Katherine Haas occurred Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Howes, north of town. She was 74 years of age and was a native of Germany. Her husband who was formerly owner of the mill property near the Junction which bore his name, died three years ago. Five sons and three daughters are the surviving members of the family, namely; Mrs. Howe, two daughters residing near Minneapolis, Peter and John of Fort Snelling, Minn., James of Mineral Point, Wis., Henry of Lycurgus, and Michael of Cherry Mound. All were present except John at the funeral which took place Monday at the Lycurgus church.
