Waukon Resident Dies Saturday
Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 6 at 2:00pm at the Zalmona Presbyterian Church for Mrs. David Bauercamper. Reverend Clifford Issacson was the officiating minister and burial was in Zalmona cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Kruger, Ed Helming, Elmer Herman, John Osterholz, Elmer Flage, and Albert Helming.Sarah Hager was born Aug. 26, 1875, in Ludlow township, a daughter of Simon and Wilhelmina Krampe Hager. She lived in Ludlow township and Allamakee county all of her life, and moved to Waukon in 1945.
August 21, 1899, she married David Bauercamper in Ludlow. He died June 9, 1959. Survivors are two sons, Martin, of Muscatine, and Reuben, Baxter, one daughter Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Crawford of Miami, Fla. Other survivors are seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Albert Hager, Waukon, and two sisters, Mrs. Rev. Karl (Ella) J. Ernst, Richardson, Texas and Mrs. Mary Kanne of Baxter.
Mrs. Bauercamper was educated in the local schools and was a member of Zalmona Presbyterian Church in Ludlow. Her death occurred at the Good Samaritan Home Saturday, May 4.
