NEW ALBIN, Iowa
Mrs. Nick Colsch, 54, New Albin, died Monday in a La Crosse hospital after an illness of two weeks.The former Charlotte Ann Theobald was born May 1, 1900, at Hawkeye, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Theobald. The family was living in Freeburg, Minn., when Charlotte married Nick Colsch April 28, 1920. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; her father, Edward Theobald; eight sons, Clem, Robert, Harold, Dale, and Lloyd, all of New Albin, Edward, Caledonia, LeRoy, Waukon, and Carl, Ft. Campbell, Ky.; one daughter, Miss Arlene Colsch, Minneapolis; one brother, Paul Teobald, Caledonia; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Burke, New Albin, Mrs. Gregg Link, Freeburg, and Mrs. Amy Beam, Sumner; and 24 grandchildren.
A Rosary was to be said Tuesday and Wednexday at 8 p.m. at the home in New Albin, and funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Rev. John Costello officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
