Waukon, Iowa - Mrs. Elizabeth Peyton, 78, former Lansing resident, died Wednesday at a Waukon hospital after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, the Rev. Joseph Krocheski officiating. Burial will be in the New Albin Cemetery.

Mrs. Peyton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Brady, was born in Houston County, Minnesota, Nov. 27, 1878. She married Martin Peyton May 30, 1899. Peyton died in 1918.

Mrs. Peyton lived a number of years at Lansing, but had resided in Waukon in recent months.

She is survived by two sons, Terrance and Earl, both of Waukon; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Connor, Lansing, and Mrs. Mary Boyd, Minneapolis; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Collins, New Albin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters, three brothers and six children. One of her brothers was the late Msgr. Terrance Brady, who served as parish priest for a number of years at Lansing.
