Funeral Services Held For Mrs. H. Rettinger

Mrs. Augusta Anna Rettinger died at the home of Mrs. Stella Laffan in Waukon, Sunday morning after several weeks illness.

Funeral services were held at the Burke Funeral Chapel on Tuesday at 2 o'clock p.m., the Rev. Albert Kinzler officiating and burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Rettinger was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Batteen born March 23, 1876 at New Albin. She was married October 28, 1896 to Henry J. Rettinger. The family farmed until 1902 when she moved to Lansing.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Bartheld, Bellflower Calif.; a son Ervin, Lansing; seven grandchildren, four great grand-children and one sister (Othelia) Mrs. Fred Schendel of Sparta, Wis.. Two sisters and four brother and 2 half brothers preceded her in death.

Waukon: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lenz, Mr. and Mrs. John Lenz. Mabel, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beardmore, Dorchester.

Augusta Anna Batteen was the daughter of August and Helen Rothermel Batteen.
