Nic. Colsch, Sr., informs us of the death of his neice [sic], Mrs. John Schulte of Waterloo township, which took place last Friday. The deceased was about 38 years old. She was born in Germany and came to this country fifteen years ago.

Besides the bereaved husband she leaves six children. She was a model wife and mother, and the entire community sympathizes with the afflicted family.

The funeral occurred Monday and after Requiem Mass in the Dorchester Catholic Church, she was laid to rest in the cemetery there.

Note: She is named in the 'Woodmansee' cemetery book as Hanna Schulte, dates Jan. 1864 - 3/11/1901. The date her obit was published in the Lansing newspaper is correct, so the month of death in Woodmansee is incorrect.
