THEODORE S. Leikvold 80, VERMILLION, S.D.—Died December 10 hospital in Vermillion brief illness. Funeral 2 p.m. Dec. 14 Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Dale M Larson. Burial Bluff View Cemetery, Wagner-Iverson Funeral Home.
Born Oct. 30, 1891, Waukon Iowa. Attended Luther and Valder Colleges, Decorah, Iowa. Deputy auditor and county auditor of Allamakee County Iowa, four years. Married Estelle Grangaard March 27, 1918. To Clay County, S.D., 1918 farmed 30 years. Wife died 1948. To Vermillion 1950, sold insurance and was insurance adjuster until a few years ago. Adopted son, Thomas Sterling Leikvold died in 1971. Member Trinity Lutheran Church and previously Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church.
Survivors: two sisters, Miss Mabel of Vermillion, and Mrs. K.M. (Mildred) Stoen of Decorah, Iowa; a brother Claus of Mesa, Ariz., six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
