Funeral services for Mrs. Enoch Mork were held Wednesday, January 2, 11 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, the Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. The soloist was Ronald Meyer, accompanied by Mrs. Bernald Martins, organist. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Selma Jeanette Mork, daughter of Erick and Anna (Larson) Gjefle, was born June 2, 1903 at Waukon, IA. She died Sunday morning, December 30, 1990 in the Good Samaritan Center, Postville.

She was baptized July 5, 1903 at the West Paint Creek Lutheran Church, rural Waukon and confirmed there in 1917. She attended the rural school near her home.

On October 17, 1923 she married Enoch Thelmer Mork in the Lutheran Parsonage at Waukon with Rev. VanNice as officiating pastor. The couple had 9 children. They farmed in Monona and Grand Meadow Townships. In 1947 they moved to Postville.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville and the Women of the ELCA. She had served as a 4-H Leader for 8 years and was a member of the Grand Meadow Country Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Clifton, who died in 1988, a great grandson, a son-in-law, Raymond Frieden and a daughter-in-law, Joyce; 4 sisters, Emma, who died in infancy, Hannah, Ida and Mattie, and 6 brothers, Olaf, Emil, Theodore, Louis, Otto and Melvin.

Surviving are her husband, Enoch; 3 sons, Don, Ft. Worth, TX; Eugene, Postville; Tennis, Postville; 5 daughters, Phyllis Frieden, Gwen Harris and Mrs. Marvin (Diane) Berg, all of Postville, Mrs. Charles (Bona) Thorson of Castalia, and Mrs. William (Carol) Buckley of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Esther Kolsrud, Dubuque and Gusta Kelly, Winona, MN.

Casket bearers: Scott Mork, Todd Mork, Randy Mork, Grant Mork, David Harris, Doug Harris, James Berg, Bill Buckley, Brad Buckley, Alan Mork, Larry Mork, Terry Mork, Jeff Frieden.
