Rites Held For Mrs. E. Muchow
Mrs. Enos Muchow, Lucille R. Saueressig, the daughter of John P. Saueressig and his wife, Anna Reincke Saueressig, was born in Clayton County, Iowa on December 8, 1908. She was baptized in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville on June 13, 1909 and confirmed on November 10, 1922. She died suddenly at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville on November 12, 1962 at the age of 53 years, 11 months and four days.
She was united in marriage to Enos Muchow in Waukon on November 20, 1929. To this union was born one son, Marvin. She lived her entire life in the Postville area.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Alma and Helen.
She is survived by her husband; her son, Marvin, who is in the United States Navy, attending school at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; three grandchildren; three sisters, Elta, Mrs. Will Kuhse of Postville, Mrs. Meta Muchow of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Florence, Mrs. Otto Appel of Postville; two brothers, Ed, of Decorah and Harold of Postville, and many other relatives and friends.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church Women of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services were conducted in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville on November 16, 1962, with the pastor, the Rev. Charles E. Witt, officiating. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
