Former Post Resident Passes on In West

Mort C. Deering of this city recently received word of the passing of his brother, Frank Deering, at his home in Newport, Washington, at the age of 71 years and six days, his demise following a four days illness from pneumonia.

Frank Deering was born on the old Deering homestead in Post township, now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Arbe Behrens. At the age of 17 years he left this locality and worked at different places in Iowa and the Dakotas, but for the past 20 years or more he has resided in Newport, Wash.

As a young man here he was well known and highly respected and many old friends will regret to learn of his passing.

Note: the obituary of Frank's brother Mortimer gives their parents as Caroline and Charles Deering
