Waukon, Ia. - Services for Trond Justus Johnson, 79, who died Tuesday at his home here, were Thursday afternoon at the family home with the Rev. J. Ott, of Maude, officiating. Burial was in the East Paint Creek cemetery.

Johnson was born March 5, 1870 on a farm in Lafayette township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Johnson, pioneer settlers of the region. On Oct. 2, 1902 he married Martha Ask. The couple resided for a number of years at Lansing and came to Waukon, recently.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Luella, of Waukon; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Deal, of Waterville, Mrs. Martha Gamble, of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Henrietta Moe of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Cecelia Tietze, of Downers Grove, Ill. and Anna, of Chicago.
