DONOVAN, DONOVON, HALL, FITZGERALD, MCGEOUGH, LOCKMAN

Mrs. Catharine Donovon [sic] passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Thos. Hall, where she had made her home for the past seven years, last Sunday evening. Her death was not unexpected as she had been sick for nearly two years, suffering with a complication of diseases.
The deceased was 67 years old last August. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, and came to this county in 1860, living east of town. Fourteen years ago she moved to Waukon, where she has since made her home.
She is survived by eight of her nine children as follows: Mrs. Wm. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Thos. Hall of Waukon; John Donovon of Wahpeton, N.D.; Daniel of Falls City, Neb.; Niel of Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. B. McGeough of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. John Lockman of Breckenridge, Minn.; and Mrs. Henry Lockman of Minot, N.D.
Mrs. Donovon was held in high esteem by all who knew her. she was a model wife and mother and reared a noble family of sons and daughters. The JOURNAL joins the many friends of the bereaved family in expressing its sympathy.
The remains will be taken to St. Patrick's church this morning and after Requiem Mass, burial will take place beside her husband in the Lycurgus cemetery.
