RAY BARCLAY - died 1884

DIED. Our people were shocked on Tuesday to learn that Ray BARCLAY was dead. He had been in SE Kansas for the past year. His father, on receiving intelligence of his illness started for Kansas last Friday and arrived shortly before his death. His mother followed on Monday but was too late. The remains arrived on Thursday and the funeral was held in the afternoon of the same day, from the Methodist church. And now the dust reposes in the Postville cemetery. His death was caused by typhoid malarial fever, after two weeks illness. He was in his 26th year. The family and friends have our sympathy in their great and sudden bereavement. He leaves a wife, formerly Miss Rebecca Patterson and one child.
