FREDERICK S. BAUDER - died 1961

Frederick S. Bauder, 86, of 2501 Westover blvd., a retired train dispatcher, died of a heart attack Monday night, September 4, 1961, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He had been ill two years. Mr. Bauder, a native of Postville, came to Des Moines in 1917 as chief train dispatcher for the Milwaukee Road. Later the Des Moines office was consolidated with the main line at Perry, where he worked until his retirement. Services were held Thursday at the Westover Funeral Home. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery. Surviving are his widow, Caroline; a son, Frederic S. Bauder of Des Moines; a half brother, Otto C. Schultz of Houston, Texas, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
