DIED. At his home in Postville, Jan 13th, 1891, of apoplexy, Norman J. BEEDY, aged 64 years, 5 months and 5 days. Mr. BEEDY was born in the state of New York, Aug. 8th, 1826, left New York in 1850 and came to Postville in 1865. He leaves four children, one daughter in Beatrice, Neb., one daughter in Wichita, Kan., and a son and daughter here. He was married to Mary E. BARNES in N. Y. in 1850. After her death he was married in 1868 to Lucy HALL, of Sullivan Co., N. Y., who survives him. In July he was taken sick. Since Aug. 1st, he has been unable to leave his home. From the beginning of his sickness he steadily failed until Sept. 26th, when a large abcess was opened, which gave him relief. From this time he improved steadily. He had been for some time considered out of danger. But Dec. 29th he was taken with trouble in his head which resulted in his death.
