At the age of 71, Shelby Marti passed away at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse WI. on June 12, 2021.

Shelby was born in Olympia, Washington, on March 3, 1950, to Marvin and Edith (Phipps) Marti, and on November 1st 2010 Shelby married Diomira Maria Florez Barrios in Medellin Colombia, and they celebrated 10 years and seven months of marriage.
Shelby worked as a Jogger for Inland Printing at French Island.

During his free time he enjoyed outdoors, nature and good food. He liked cooking meals and and taking drives to the countryside. He loved a cup of coffee first in the morning.

Shelby was a man of faith. His trust was in the Lord Jesus Christ. One of his favorite conversational subjects was about the book of John.

Shelby was a respectful and loving caring husband to Diomira.

Shelby is survived by his wife Diomira, his stepson Jesus David Romero Florez, his step daughter in law Silvia Rodriguez, step grandson Benjamin Romero Rodriguez. Shelby’s sisters Sheila Simmonds and family, Shelley Peterson and family, Sherry Marti Prichard and family, Christina McKee and family, Beverly North and family, and Marsha Vinson and family.

Shelby Marti was preceded in death by his parents and uncles.

The Dickinson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the widow and his sisters with arrangements. A Memorial Service and Celebration of life should be held in the near future.
