HARRY WILLIAM BRAY 1911-1935

BRAY, BROOKS, GAUNITZ, SNIKTER

After an illness of only one week, Harry William Bray died in his home in Village Creek last Thursday, January 31, as the result of Pneumonia. Mr. Bray, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bray, was born at Postville, June 7, 1911. As a child he came to Village Creek with his parents and there received his education in the rural schools. Practically all the balance of his life was spent in and near Village Creek.

On October 22, 1930, he was married to Jane Brooks, also of Village Creek, who, with one son, Myron, survive him.

Others who survive him are his parents, of Decorah, three brothers, Everett, and Orrin of Decorah, Melvin of Decorah, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Gaunitz of Lansing and Mrs. Loren Snikter of Ossian, and a number of more distant relatives.

Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon, and from the Calvary Evangelical Church, with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend E. R. Walter officiated.

Pallbearers were : Theodore Muntz, John Muntz, Ray Mooney, Emmet Gaunitz, Milton Moellerman, Carl Peterson.
