Waukon - Mrs. Lucy Krom, 84, of Franklin township died of a heart attack Sunday while fishing in Yellow river with her son, Charles, and his wife. Before the marriage she was Lucy Halsie.(sic) Besides her son, she is survived by a brother and a sister.

DOB: February 13, 1858
DOD: August 23, 1942
Note: Gravestone records indicate Lucy Krom was the daughter of Job Darius and Rushia (Clark) Halsey. Her first marriage was to George "Crumb" Krom and a second marriage to William Petitt.
