On December 22, 1922, a little boy came to gladden the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross E. Thornton, and on April 20, 1923, God saw fit to take him to his heavenly home.

On Wednesday the parents first noticed little Clarence's illness and on Thursday morning called Dr. B.B. Everall, little dreaming of its being so serious as he did not seem to have pain. Friday night at 9:30 he passed to the great beyond.

After death they called Dr. B.B. Everall and Dr. Ben Everall and found his bowels were telescoped, causing death.

He left to mourn his loss father, mother, three sisters, Helen, Bernice and Marjorie.

Rev. Ackman of Monona conducted the funeral services in the home on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Nelson Walker and daughter Helen of Monona sang "Asleep in the Arms of Jesus" and "Precious Jewels." Burial in Smithfield cemetery.

Sleep, baby, sleep!
No weary watch we'll keep,
When Jesus calls us to his breast
There sweetly we'll together rest.
Sleep, baby, sleep!

Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our neighbors and friends and all those who in anyway helped us during the illness and death of our little son and brother
