EDWARD F. DAHMS 1890-1966

Edward F. Dahms was born on a farm near Luana, on June 10, 1890, the son of Henry Dahms, Sr., and Wilhelmina Meyer Dahms. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. On December 10, 1919, Mr. Dahms was united in marriage with Rose Schave.

He farmed near Postville Junction for 32 years. In 1948, he retired and moved to Postville where he lived the remainder of his life.

Edward Dahms departed this life on December 8, 1966, at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. He is survived by his wife, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul Church in Postville at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 1966, with Rev. Lenwood L. Monte officiating. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
