VIRGIL DREIER 1910-1957

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville for Virgil Dreier, 46, who passed away at his home in Postville on Thursday of last week. The Rev. Alden Showalter, pastor of the Community Church of Frankville, conducted the final rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Virgil Dreier was born October 13, 1910, the son of Theodore and Matilda Dreier of Bloomfield township in Winneshiek county, Iowa. He attended Highland county school and united with the Community Presbyterian Church of Frankville. He made his home with his mother in Postville until her demise October 26, 1956.

Virgil Dreier was an outdoor man enjoying hunting and fishing and his employment with the Rausch Construction Company of Fort Atkinson contributed much to this interest.

He departed this life April 18, 1957 at his home in Postville at the age of 46. He is survived by two brothers, Leo and Arnold, two sisters, Elma and Rose, and one nephew, Eugene, the son of Leo Dreier, all of Postville.
