Mrs. Asael EATON* - died 1886

Died. At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lucius McGHEE, near Hardin, Ia., on Sunday morning, March 14, 1886, Mrs. Asael EATON, aged 64 years, 8 months and 3 days. Deceased was the mother of nine children, five of whom, four sons and one daughter, with the aged husband and father survive to mourn her departure. Mrs. EATON was born in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. She, with her husband, settled in Allamakee Co. in the year 1856, where she continued to reside until her death. She was a kind and obliging neighbor, a faithful and devoted wife, an affectionate mother and exemplary christian. She died as she had lived for many years trusting in the Savior. The memorial services were held at Bethel, near her late home, conducted by the Rev. W. D. HARTSOUGH, of Castalia, in the presence of the numerous relatives and a large congregation composed mostly of old neighbors and acquaintances, who sympathize with the bereaved friends in their affliction.
