Frozen to Death.
Waukon Republican:— The extreme cold weather of last week was not without a fatal result in the death of Larry Ward, living near Silver Creek He was a man of somewhat advanced years and his niece kept house for him. On last Tuesday evening she was absent from home, leaving him alone in the house. During her absence he wandered out of doors for some unknown reason, and was so dazed and overcome with the cold that he became lost and wandered to a straw pile, where he was afterwards found dead.
