SERVICES HELD FOR RICHARD H. HUFFMAN

Funeral services were held Tues., June 16th at 1:30 at Martins Funeral Home, Waukon, for Richard Huffman. He was born Sept. 19, 1888 to Mr. and Mrs. Isaac (Reddy) Huffman and passed away at Oceanside, Calif., June 12, 1970 where he had been living with his sister, Mrs. Lula Harrop.

Rev. Wm. Tjaden, pastor of Waukon Presbyterian Church, officiated. Casketbearers were: Orrie Smith, Marcus Smith, Wilbur Rose, Leo Howe, Garland(?) Byrnes and Lyal Mitchell.

He was married to Leona Burt of Waukon in 1921 and is survived by two sons, Ray of Calif., and Clinton and family of Fla. There are also eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Eula Canoe and Mrs. Lula Harrop of Oceanside, Calif., many cousins, relatives and friends. One daughter Carol, one son, Eugene, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Huffman, two brothers, George of Chicago and Earl of Rossville preceded him.

He spent most of his life around Waukon. He was a World War I veteran and was laid to rest with military honors in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.
