Henry Huffman Dies at Rossville

Funeral services for John Henry Huffman, 81, were held from the home and to the Rossville Community church, this afternoon with Rev. H.W. Farnham of the Methodist church in Monona officiating. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.

Mr. Huffman was born Oct. 29, 1859, in Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Huffman. He died at his home in Rossville Monday.

He was brought to Allamakee county when a young boy. He was married Oct. 9, 1884, to Miss Eliza Reddy. Until 1919 they farmed in the vicinity of Rossville, retiring to live in the home in which he died.

Besides Mrs. Huffman, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Barlow of Rossville, Mrs. Jennie Rose of Waukon, and Mrs. Emma Fish of Waukon Jct.; two sons, Frank Huffman of Volney and Lee Huffman of Rossville; two brothers, Levi and Ed, both of Rossville; 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death, Isaac having died a little over a month ago, March 12.
