Wm Neubauer Dies At Waukon Hospital

Funeral services for William H. Neubauer, 75, were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 22, at 1:30 o'clock from the home in Waukon to the Methodist church at 2 o'clock with Rev. Ray Orr officiating.

Burial was in the Waukon Oakland cemetery. Mr. Neubauer died shortly afternoon, Friday, Feb.19, at Veterans Memorial hospital in Waukon, where he had been a patient since Jan. 7, suffering from a heart condition, most of which time he spent in an oxygen tent. He had been confined to his home since last Oct. 10.

He was born at Clayton Center, May 7, 1888, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neubauer. He was married to Miss Olive Stafford in Waukon, Sept. 21, 1910.

He was educated in the rural school of his community and took a business course at Winona, Minn., Business College. He at one time lived on the farm now owned by Harry Kuthe, north of Monona. For the last 22 years he and his wife lived in Waukon.

He was employed by the maintenance department of the State Highway commission working out of Waukon. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church and of the Waukon Masonic lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs.Lee (Evelyn) Echard of Waukon and Kenneth (Marjorie) Whalen of McGregor; one son, Kenneth of Bartlesville, Okla; and four grandchildren.
