Funeral services for Jessie Lytle, 72, of Waukon were held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Schultz Funeral home with Rev. Roscoe C. Jerrell of the Methodist church officiating.

Burial was in the City cemetery.

Miss Lytle died Thursday evening, Oct. 23 at 9:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Vesta Carlson in Waukon, where she had received care for more than two years.

She was born on a farm southwest of Monona, Jan. 27, 1875, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Lytle. When 5 years old, she was stricken with polio, which left her in a badly crippled condition, using a wheelchair the last years. She has many accomplishments, chief among which was a genuine artistry in all kinds of needlework.

After graduating to womanhood in this community, she lived in North Dakota and Minnesota before making her home in Waukon.

Survivng are three sisters, Mrs. Herman Johnson of Waukon, Mrs. Alice Willman of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Jane Dunning of Cresco.

Pallbearers were: Oliver Eno, Henry Willman, James Eno, Roy Dunning, H.E. Pomeroy, and Mr. Bender.

Note: Jessie Lytle was the daughter of Josephine Eliza Oathout.
