Louis A. Grangaard, 77, died Monday noon at the home of his son, County Treasurer W.C. Grangaard. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arne Grangaard, pioneer residents of Allamakee. In 1883, his marriage to Miss Helena Sevatson took place. Six children were born to them: Mrs. M.J. Berge, Underwood, Minn., Mrs. Alvin Prestemon, Jefferson township; Miss Olga Grangaard and W.C. Grangaard, Waukon; Mrs. Theodore Leikvold, Wakonda, S.D., and Orrin Grangaard, Decorah, all of whom survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Old West Paint Creek church conducted by the Rev. A.P. Lea, assisted by the Rev. P.F. Kjorlaug of Waukon. The pallbearers will be Alex and Ingval Grangaard, Egbert Bakkum, Selmer and William Sevatson and Orlando Jeglum.
