In 1881, she was married to Ellery Hancock; an early newspaper publisher at Waukon. He died Aug. 11, 1929. Surviving are two daughters, Clara, who for several years has been an instructor in the schools at Virginia, Minn., and Harriet, at home.

Funeral services were held Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Gordon Smith of the Baptist church. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
