Mrs. Patrick Rea, 83, a resident of this vicinity for 75 years, died at her home near Waukon Tuesday from a heart attack. She was a native of New York where she was born Oct. 8, 1852. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. James Baxter, early settlers of Union Prairie township. On Feb. 5, 1882, her marriage to Patrick Rea took place at the West Ridge Catholic church. He died many years ago. Surviving are two sons and a daughter: Robert Rea and Mrs. P.J. Curtin, Union Prairie township, and William of Winneshiek county. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the West Ridge Catholic church, conducted by the Rev. T. O'Too(?)e
