Young Mother Ends Life Near Waukon

Mrs. Russell Enyart, 27, committed suicide at her home four miles northeast of Waukon Sunday night by inhaling fumes from a washing machine motor. Her husband found her body when he returned home about 10:00 p.m. A verdict of suicide was returned at an inquest conducted by Coroner Charles Boyden.

Formerly Adeline Smith of near Postville, Mrs. Enyart taught school prior to her marriage. She had been despondent for some time and had threatened suicide, the coroner had learned. Surviving besides her husband are two children. She was about to have another child, the coroner said.
